Safety Patrol Posts
There are eight safety patrol posts at Academy Park. Please arrive promptly at 7:50 for your morning post. For afternoon you may leave class at 2:50 to get ready for your post.
Manager is responsible for taking attendance and marking safety patrol members on time, late, or absent from post. They also assign subs to their posts when someone is absent. Everyone on safety patrol will have a turn to be the manager as long as they are following safety patrol expectations and remain in good standing.
Flag/Substitutes: Safety patrollers assigned to this post are responsible for showing up for post everyday! It is not optional. First they check in with the manager to fill in any posts that are unfilled. If all posts are filled they are responsible for putting up the flag as long as weather permits. Filling all posts is the first priority! The flag can be put up AFTER the bell has rung before you go to class.
Doors: You need to arrive at the school no later than 8:05am in the morning, and stay on post until the late bell at 8:15am. Check in with the manager. Wear your lanyard. Sign-in at the office. Be attentive and polite to both students and parents.
